It's Snow Good

Good morning to all our followers, hopefully most of you survived the freezing temperatures last week. By unfortunate coincidence the master trainer had a very bad back this week, which left him no choice but to spend five days laid out in front of the fire. Like any good boss he had sympathy for his hardworking staff and got the assistant trainer to make them a cup of tea at least once a day.

While the master trainer has been out of action, the assistant trainer has employed specialised scientific training with stable star Highway One O One and has had the good sense to start working him against a small pony and a dog, to build up his confidence before his big day at Cheltenham next month.

We have one runner today with Sky Full Of Stars going for a hat trick in the 4.45 Conditional Jockeys’ Handicap Hurdle, for which he is currently second favourite. Chris has got all bases covered, including making sure his young jockey had his weekly Sunday night bath and was in bed at a sensible hour.

Looking further ahead, Mellow Ben and Jimmy may run at Huntingdon on Thursday, providing the ground is suitable, while one of our most loyal owners, Kate Digweed, has a big birthday on Friday and will hopefully have a couple of runners at Kempton to celebrate.

Fingers crossed the weather behaves and we have no more cancelled meetings.
