Rain Rain Rain

We've been waiting for rain for so long and now we've got too much, we are all starting to think 'Will this rain ever stop?' After having three horses entered over the weekend and none of them running due to the meetings called off, we have two runners tomorrow at Huntingdon. Firstly we have Mount Windsor in the 2.10 which is the MansionBet Novices' Hurdle over 1m7f171y. This boy is having his first run over hurdles tomorrow after having run in three bumpers last season coming second in his first one and won his other two in impressive style. He has always had such a good attitude to everything we have thrown at him. He has been jumping well at home and we have taken him to Lambourn a few times for schooling practice. He should have  a great chance if he takes to the jumping. Tom Cannon rides him for owners, The Party People. Then in the 3.15 we have Commandant in the Paul Ferguson's Jumpers To Follow Novices' Handicap Chase over 2m3f189y. Commandant joined us only a month ago as we got him from Doncaster sales in September. He was a Gigginstown horse who was trained with Joseph O'Brien in Ireland and he won a beginners' chase over 2m and a handicap chase over 2m5f. He wasn't at his best when seen last time out when finishing near the back of the pack in a hurdle but hopefully having a change of scenery and change of yard might have had an affect on him. He seems a really nice horse and look forward to getting him out there. Brendan Powell takes the ride for owner Mrs Betty Chantler. Good luck to both horses, owners and jockeys 🏇🏼🏇🏼
