Ownership
There is nothing like owning a horse and knowing you played a part in its success. It's a commitment that shouldn't be taken lightly, however, and as well as the initial purchase of your horse you will then have training fees to consider.
Our basic training fees we are shown below and we also offer an all inclusive rate - please contact us for more details.
'Shares in Syndicates are also available. Our syndicates are managed by Luke Axel-Berg and he can be contacted on racing@axel-berg.co.uk or his mobile 07831 611724.
BASIC TRAINING FEES
£53 per horse per day, charged monthly in arrears. A discount is available for owners with more than one horse.
RESTING/WALKER
£43 per horse per day
BOX REST
£40 per horse per day
FARRIER
Our Farrier charges £99 per set of shoes which in most cases last 4 weeks.
TRANSPORT
We charge £1.20 per mile per horse. Sometimes we use an external transport company but their charges are broadly similar to ours.
RACING EXPENSES
These are charged when your horse goes racing. Yard sundries are charged at £10 per race. Staff expenses are charged at £35 on weekdays, £45 on Saturdays and £75 on Sunday.
GALLOP FEES
£75 per month when in training. This charge is dealt with directly by Weatherbys.
ADDITIONAL FEES
All additional fees, including veterinary services, physio, dentists etc are charged at cost.
All fees are subject to VAT at the current rate and this can be reclaimed through the Weatherbys Owners Scheme.
